Case Study 3 • Gantry Transfer for the Steel Industry

Challenge:
Provide means of dispensing stainless steel leader strips used in a coil steel processing facility.

Solution:
Provide a (3) Station Gantry Dispenser that uses a vacuum tool that is supported by a 43 foot span overhead gantry system.

When directed by the system controller, the gantry will automatically pick upa stainless steel sheet from a stack table. From the point of collection, the gantry will deposit the sheet on the center-mounted delivery conveyor.
