Case Study 1 • Slave Board Dispenser/Collector

Challenge:
Provide a means of automatic dispensing and collecting of slave boards used in an Automated Storage and Retrieval System installed in a commercial printing facility.

Solution:
Provide a (5) Station Pallet Dispenser/Collector that uses a vacuum plenum tool supported by an overhead gantry system. When directed by the system controller, the gantry may automatically collect empty pallets that are generated by the AS/R system. When a full stack is generated, the stack will be stored until empty pallets are needed.

Empty pallets are automatically dispensed to the Pallet Load Input Station when the host controller directs the system to do so.
